General Information

The annual LGBTQ Muslim Retreat provides a safe, peaceful environment for queer Muslims and partners to find community, renewal, and empowerment.

Our 2017 Retreat will be held from October 13th to 15th at a beautiful retreat center tucked away on 125 acres of tranquil woods and meadows in eastern Pennsylvania, providing privacy and seclusion. A tentative schedule of programming can be found on our website.

We welcome LGBTQ-identifying Muslims from all backgrounds, ethnicities, ideologies, and perspectives. Partners of queer Muslims are also welcome and encouraged to attend. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available to support attendance.

Registration opens in early summer each year. Due to the intimate nature and limited capacity of this gathering, we regret that we cannot accommodate friends or allies outside the LGBTQ Muslim community. The location is only disclosed to registered participants to protect privacy.

Delicious, nourishing meals are provided, with vegetarian, vegan and halal options. The retreat center sources organic, local ingredients as much as possible. Tea, coffee, and snacks are available 24/7.

On site are comfortable cabins, wooded trails, campfire pits, a labyrinth, and volleyball courts. Participants are welcome to explore the grounds, relax in nature, or engage in community activities during free time.

Past retreats have included workshops, performances, arts, outdoor activities, group discussions, and much more. Programming is thoughtfully designed to nourish the body, mind and spirit.

We aim to create a welcoming, affirming space where participants can share stories, find support, and make lifelong connections. Join us on this journey of love, liberation and belonging.
